Basketball Recap: Montello Comes Up Short

Montello was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They were dealt a 100-57 loss at the hands of the Nekoosa Papermakers. The Hilltoppers were not able to make up for their defeat to the Papermakers from their previous meeting back in November of 2023.

Montello's loss dropped their record down to 5-15. As for Nekoosa, with the win, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 10-10.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Nekoosa beat Montello by a score of 100-57 on Tuesday.
