Mayfield kept a clean sheet against Mentor on Saturday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Cardinals 1-0. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Mayfield also won the last time the pair played back in September of 2024.

Their one-goal win came courtesy of Brooke Tirabassi, who's now up to two this season.

The win made it two in a row for Mayfield and bumps their season record up to 3-1-2. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up zero goals over those two matches. As for Mentor, their loss dropped their record down to 2-2-3.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Mayfield will square off against Riverside at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Mayfield will be up against Riverside's rather soft defense (which has allowed 3.75 goals per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Mentor, they will face off against Strongsville at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
