Basketball Game Preview: Kindred Vikings vs. Lisbon Broncos

Kindred has gone a perfect 10-0 against Lisbon recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Monday. The Kindred Vikings will be playing at home against the Lisbon Broncos at 6:00 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Kindred has five straight victories, Lisbon has 13 straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the court.

Last Tuesday, Kindred didn't have too much trouble with Wahpeton as they won 71-57. Given the Vikings' advantage in MaxPreps' North Dakota basketball rankings (they are ranked tenth, while the Huskies are ranked 52nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Lisbon played a tough match on Tuesday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were beaten by Thompson 81-24. The Broncos were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 54-13.

Brynn Wiltse was Lisbon's leading scorer, having posted seven points. Wiltse also led the team in rebounds with seven.

Kindred's win was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 17-4. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.5 points over those games. As for Lisbon, their loss dropped their record down to 2-18.

Everything came up roses for Kindred against Lisbon when the teams last played last Thursday, as the squad secured a 68-26 victory. In that game, Kindred amassed a halftime lead of 45-15, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Monday.
