On Wednesday Nate Pedrick pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. The performance also marked the most strikeouts (two) Pedrick has had since back in March of 2024. As if that's not impressive enough, the pitching appearance was his fourth in a row with less than two hits. On the season, he has an ERA of 1.24 over 5.7 innings pitched.

Pedrick's strong effort led St. James over Myrtle Beach and he'll get a chance to do so again: the teams have a rematch scheduled at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams are at an even 5-5 against one another since March of 2015, but likely not for long.
