B District 7 recap September 17, 2013
McCook was able to crack the Top 25 in the state rankings this week after topping Grand Island Northwest. The Bison came in at 22 in the state poll after placing at number 30 last week.
Lexington and Gering played the most contested game in B District 7 this week, with Lexington eventually emerging with a 23-20 victory.
Dakota Fulk put up the best numbers through the air as Holdrege lost to Scottsbluff. He finished with 7 completions for 100 yards. Fulk's favorite target this week was Dillon Hixson, who caught 5 passes for 56 yards.
Tanner Johnson provided a threat through the air and on the ground as Hastings lost to Alliance. He completed 14 passes for 114 yards and also ran for 45 yards. Johnson's favorite target this week was Morgan Karloff, who caught 7 passes for 84 yards.
Karloff was the best wideout in the league this week as the Tigers lost to the Bulldogs. Brenden Menke helped Hastings' passing attack out by catching 3 balls for 15 yards.
Derek Fast was the most successful running back in the league this week. In 21 carries, he ran for 51 yards as Hastings fell to Alliance.
McCook took down the Vikings 41-13 last week, the largest margin of any game.
