Basketball Recap: Fitch Gets the Win

Fitch won the last time they faced Harding, and Si?Kis Reels did his part to make sure it happened again. The Fitch Falcons took down the Harding Presidents 77-62 on Friday thanks in part to Reels, who went 12 of 17 from beyond the arc on his way to 39 points and three steals. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 15.2 points per game.

Harding's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Clifton Jones Jr., who went 7 for 14 en route to 19 points and six boards, and Denim Bernal, who posted 15 points in addition to six rebounds and three steals. Bernal has been hot for a while, having posted two or more steals the last ten times he's played. Shamir Smith was another key player, putting up ten points and eight boards.

Fitch's record is now 10-3. As for Harding, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-7.

Fitch wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 67-36 loss against New London on the 29th. Harding has also already played their next contest, a 60-54 defeat against Immaculate on the 27th.
