Softball Recap: Saguaro Comes Up Short

Saguaro was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss dating back to last season. They came up short against the Flagstaff Eagles, falling 16-6. One positive for the Sabercats, at least, is that this was the most points they've scored all season.

Hailey Holliday made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with one home run and three RBI. Another player making a difference was Alexa Simpson, who scored two runs and stole Two bases. while going 1-for-2.

Saguaro's defeat dropped their record down to 0-5.

Looking ahead, Saguaro will take on Mountain Pointe in a tournament on March 12th. As for Flagstaff, they will head out to square off against Deer Valley at 3:45 p.m. on Friday.
