Soccer Recap: Friendship Takes a Loss

Friendship lost against Cuba-Rushford back in October of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Golden Eagles came up short against the Rebels, falling 7-1. While losing is never fun, Friendship can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New York soccer rankings (they are ranked 240th, while Cuba-Rushford are ranked 88th).

Friendship's loss dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Cuba-Rushford, their victory bumped their record up to 4-1-1.

Coincidentally, Friendship and Cuba-Rushford will both be playing Bolivar-Richburg the next time they take the pitch. The Golden Eagles will host the Wolverines at 5:00 p.m. on Friday, while the Rebels will head out to face them at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
