Baseball Recap: Placer Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for Placer, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Friday. They never let the River Valley Falcons get on the board and left with a 6-0 victory on Monday. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Hillmen as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

Jayson Glatt looked comfortable as he didn't allow a single earned run over four innings pitched. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Placer is undefeated when he allows at most one earned run, but 7-12 otherwise.

At the plate, Devin Knight was excellent, going 1-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. Garrett Brink was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two RBI and one run.

Placer's victory bumped their record up to 14-12. As for River Valley, they are on a 21-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-23.

Placer will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Falcons: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
