Volleyball Recap: Dalton Starts off Right with Win over Northwest Whitfield

Dalton had to kick off their season on the road on Thursday, but they showed no ill effects. They came out on top against the Northwest Whitfield Bruins by a score of 2-0. The win continues a trend for the Catamounts in their matchups with the Bruins: they've now won five in a row.

Dalton never let Northwest Whitfield on the board, but things got pretty close in the second set. The final score came out to 25-17, 28-26.

Among those leading the charge was Anjalee Lemons, who had seven assists and three aces. Those seven assists gave her a new career-high.

Despite the loss, Northwest Whitfield still got an impressive performance from Paola Cuna, who had ten digs.

Coincidentally, Dalton and Northwest Whitfield will both be playing Coahulla Creek the next time they take the court. The Catamounts will head out to face the Colts at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, while the Bruins will play them later in the day, at 7:00 p.m.
