Lyons hasn't had much luck against Sodus recently, but that could start to change on Wednesday. The Lions will take on the Spartans at 4:45 p.m. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Having struggled with four defeats in a row, Lyons turned things around against Dundee/Bradford Central on Tuesday. They came out on top against the BraveScots by a score of 8-4.

Cole Burnett was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He struck out 15 batters over seven innings while giving up three earned (and one unearned) runs off five hits. Those 15 strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with two RBI.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Austin Rice, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one double, and one RBI. That's the most hits he has posted since back in April. Brady Bastian also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.
Meanwhile, while Sodus put up some runs on Tuesday, the same can't be said for Finney. The Spartans were the clear victors by a 10-0 margin over the Falcons. The Spartans might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven matchups by six runs or more this season.
Evan Laird was incredible, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, two stolen bases, and three runs. Gauge Johnson was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.
Sodus always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .615. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Lyons' record now sits at 4-13. As for Sodus, their record is now 12-2.
Lyons suffered a grim 12-1 defeat to Sodus in their previous meeting back in April. Can the Lions avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
