Southwest Leadership Academy piles up the points against Mission Heights Prep

The Southwest Leadership Academy Rams stacked a tenth blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Wednesday. They claimed a resounding 60-28 win over Mission Heights Prep on the road. That's another feather in the cap for Southwest Leadership Academy, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Southwest Leadership Academy got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Serious Sykes out in front who dropped a double-double on 21 points and 12 rebounds. Sykes is crushing the rebound category: he's posted at least eight every time he's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Raja Williams, who almost dropped a double-double on 17 points and nine rebounds.
The win made it two in a row for Southwest Leadership Academy and bumps their season record up to 14-3. As for Mission Heights Prep, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 8-7.
Southwest Leadership Academy will look to defend their home court on Friday against Ridgeline Academy at 5:30 p.m. Southwest Leadership Academy is on a 16-game streak of home wins, Ridgeline Academy a six-game streak of away wins -- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the court. As for Mission Heights Prep, they will head out on the road to challenge Empower College Prep at 6:15 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Mission Heights Prep focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 19 on Wednesday.
