Volleyball Recap: Mt. Markham Extends Road Winning Streak to Ten

Mt. Markham had won nine straight road games dating back to last season and Addison Jones did her part to make it ten on Tuesday. The Mt. Markham Mustangs walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Cooperstown Hawkeyes thanks in part to Jones, who had seven digs and five aces. She is also on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 13 or more in the last 18 games she's played dating back to last season.

Mt. Markham had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The match finished with set scores of 25-27, 25-23, 25-19, 25-12.

Mt. Markham's win bumped their record up to 5-0.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Mt. Markham will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Waterville at 7:00 p.m. on January 3, 2025. As for Cooperstown, they will welcome Sherburne-Earlville at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
