Volleyball Recap: Shady Spring Picks Up Seventh Consecutive Win

With a playoff win on the line, Shady Spring rose to the challenge on Monday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Ripley Vikings. The win was nothing new for the Tigers as they're now sitting on seven straight.

Shady Spring's got stronger as the match went on, holding Ripley to fewer and fewer points set over set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 25-16, 25-13.

Alivia Stover paced Shady Spring's offense, picking up 12 kills. Stover got some help from Reagan Mann and her 18 assists. Mann also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Bryanna Shrewsberry, each putting up two.

When it comes to explaining why Ripley lost, don't look at Kaydence Sheppard. Despite the final result, she had 15 assists and 14 digs.

Shady Spring's victory bumped their record up to 38-12-1. As for Ripley, they dropped their record down to 27-15-1 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road.

Coming up, Shady Spring will square off against Hampshire at 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Ripley does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
