Volleyball Recap: Gulf Coast H Comes Up Short

Gulf Coast H was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 15th straight defeat dating back to last season. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Sarasota Christian Blazers. If the HEAT were looking for revenge after losing 3-0 to the Blazers when the teams met back in April of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

The final score came out to 25-12, 25-12, 23-25, 25-12.

Adam Rummings paced Gulf Coast H's offense, picking up seven kills. Rummings got some help from Aaron Light and his 11 assists. Light was also solid from the service line: he led the team with five aces.

Gulf Coast H's loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Sarasota Christian, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Looking ahead, Gulf Coast H will take on Lakewood Ranch Preparatory Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Sarasota Christian, they will welcome Calvary Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Sarasota Christian is facing Calvary Christian at the right time seeing as Calvary Christian is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
