Softball Recap: Lebanon's Win Ends Three-Game Losing Streak on the Road

Lebanon played in-conference for the first time on Tuesday and they got just the result they were looking for. They came out on top against the Stewarts Creek Red Hawks by a score of 5-1. This was payback for the Blue Devils, who suffered an 11-1 loss the last time these two teams met.

McKenzie Jordan spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on four hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in nine consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Keeli Davis, who went 2-for-3 with one home run and three RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Caitlin Greer, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3.

Lebanon's victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 8-7. As for Stewarts Creek, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lebanon will venture away from home to challenge Cookeville at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Lebanon is facing Cookeville at the right time seeing as Cookeville is stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Stewarts Creek, they will head out on the road to face off against Smyrna at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Smyrna will roll in looking for their sixth straight win, something Stewarts Creek surely won't give up without a fight.
