Lawndale's game on Wednesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They blew past the Centennial Apaches 3-0. The victory was some much needed relief for the Cardinals as it spelled an end to their four-match losing streak.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Lawndale took every set by at least 17 points. The final score came out to 25-7, 25-2, 25-8.

Lawndale's win was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-4 and their overall record up to 6-6. As for Centennial, they are on a 17-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-4.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Lawndale will take on rival Leuzinger at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Centennial is set to square off against their familiar foe Inglewood at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
