Somerset Academy Central Miramar was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Franklin Academy apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in January.
When it comes to explaining why Somerset Academy Central Miramar lost, one person who can't be blamed is Jayden Auguste. Despite the final result, he scored 15 points along with 8 rebounds. Tavaris Williams was another key contributor, scoring 9 points along with 9 rebounds and 4 steals.
Leading Franklin Academy to victory were Japitpaul Makkar and Alexandre Louis. Makkar scored 16 points along with 4 steals, while Louis scored 17 points along with 6 rebounds and 5 steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Jason Goddette, who scored 15 points.
Somerset Academy Central Miramar has fallen quite a ways from their 6-1 record last season and are now at 1-3. As for Franklin Academy, the win got them back to even at 2-2.
