Softball Game Preview: Bear Lake Bears vs. Snake River Panthers

The Bear Lake Bears will challenge the Snake River Panthers at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Bear Lake fell victim to Teton and their airtight pitching crew on Thursday. They came up short against the Timberwolves, falling 13-0. Having soared to a lofty 11 runs in the game before, the Bears' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Meanwhile, Snake River was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their 14th straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 17-2 to Marsh Valley. That's two games in a row now that the Panthers have lost by exactly 15 runs.

Snake River saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jaycee Later, who went 1-for-2 with one RBI.

Bear Lake's defeat dropped their record down to 6-9. As for Snake River, their loss dropped their record down to 0-12.

Bear Lake was able to grind out a solid victory over Snake River in their previous matchup back in March, winning 7-4. Will the Bears repeat their success, or do the Panthers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
