Maxwell lost a heartbreaker the last time they played Los Molinos, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Friday's game. The Panthers blew past the Bulldogs 49-7 on Friday. The Panthers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four matchups by 35 points or more this season.

Maxwell got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Luke Pearson out in front who picked up 129 receiving yards and two TDs, and also rushed for 31 yards and one touchdown. Pearson also put in work on the defensive side of the ball, making eight total tackles (1.0 for loss) and defending two passes. Another passer making a difference was Levi Velasquez, who threw for 213 yards and three touchdowns on only 18 passes.

Maxwell didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Vincent Orozco and Rosendo Salazar. Salazar got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Maxwell's victory was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 5-2. The road wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 8.4 points on average over those games. As for Los Molinos, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-4.

Looking ahead, Maxwell will be playing in front of their home fans against Portola at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The Panthers will be up against the Tigers' rather soft defense (which has allowed 34.86 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Los Molinos, they will venture away from home to challenge Biggs at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The Wolverines will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more points each game than the last.
