Soccer Recap: West Charlotte Comes Up Short + How To Watch

It was a classic East v. West duel when West Charlotte duked it out with East Mecklenburg on Tuesday. The Lions fell 3-1 to the Eagles. While losing is never fun, West Charlotte can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina soccer rankings (they are ranked 427th, while East Mecklenburg are ranked 141st).

West Charlotte's goal came courtesy of Andrew Hudson, who's now up to two this season.

West Charlotte's loss dropped their record down to 3-11-3. As for East Mecklenburg, they pushed their record up to 9-7-1 with the win, which was their third straight at home.

West Charlotte has already played their next match, a 3-1 defeat against Statesville on the 15th. As for East Mecklenburg, they also wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and have already played their next matchup, a 4-0 loss against Providence on the 16th.
