Baseball Recap: North Callaway Continues Home Dominance on Tuesday

North Callaway put another one in the bag on Tuesday to keep their perfect season alive. They came out on top against the Wright City Wildcats by a score of 3-0. The Thunderbirds have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Wildcats, too.

Not much got past Carter Moore, who gave up just a hit and racked up ten Ks to keep Wright City off the board. That's the most strikeouts Moore has posted since back in April of 2024.

On the hitting side, North Callaway's win was truly a team effort as four different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Carson Bassett, who went 1-for-2 with one RBI.

North Callaway's victory was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 3-0. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.9 runs over those games. As for Wright City, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. North Callaway will take on Hallsville at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Wright City, they will face off against Warrenton at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
