Basketball Recap: Veritas School Comes Up Short

Veritas School was the 60-57 winner over Spirit HomeSchool when they last played one another back in January of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. The Veritas School Lions were dealt a 72-39 defeat at the hands of the Spirit HomeSchool Warhawks on Thursday. The Lions have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Several Lions players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Howe Aronson, who posted 13 points. Another player making a difference was Liam Cruess, who put up nine points.

Veritas School's record is now 4-8. As for Spirit HomeSchool, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 12-6.

Veritas School wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 41-39 victory against Walsingham Academy on the 31st. As for Spirit HomeSchool, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 77-56 win against Southwest Virginia Academy on the 1st.
