Delano had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They walked away with a 48-40 win over the East Bakersfield Blades on Monday. This was payback for the Tigers, who suffered a 45-39 loss the last time these two teams met.

Delano's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Liam Amodo, who posted 15 points and four steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Jotham Amodo, who earned 13 points along with five boards and four steals.

Delano was working as a unit and finished the game with ten assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as East Bakersfield only posted three.

East Bakersfield's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Nicholas Hackney, who almost dropped a double-double with nine points and ten rebounds. Benjamiin Bryant was another key player, going 5-for-6 on his way to 10 points.

Delano wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 50-36 loss against Highland on the 19th. As for East Bakersfield, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 77-9 defeat against Burroughs on the 19th.
