Basketball Recap: San Miguel Vipers vs. Bisbee Pumas
San Miguel was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 11th straight loss. They came up short against the Bisbee Pumas, falling 80-57. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Pumas this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 59-20 back in December of 2024.
Sebastian Lopez continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Bisbee, almost dropping a double-double with 36 points and nine boards. That makes it six consecutive games in which Lopez has scored at least a third of Bisbee's points. Another player making a difference was Hunter Wright, who posted 17 points along with eight rebounds and six steals.
San Miguel's defeat dropped their record down to 3-14. As for Bisbee, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 14-11 record this season.
San Miguel does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Bisbee, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 68-40 loss against Morenci on the 6th.
