Softball Recap: Fernandina Beach Beats Bishop Snyder for Their Second Straight Win

While Fernandina Beach's win against Bishop Snyder wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Pirates never let the Cardinals get on the board and left with a 2-0 victory on Tuesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Pirates have posted against the Cardinals since March 5, 2021.

Not much got past Carsen Chmiel, who gave up just three hits and racked up seven Ks to keep Bishop Snyder off the board.

At the plate, Fernandina Beach's victory was truly a team effort as two different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Rylee Murallo, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2.

The win made it two in a row for Fernandina Beach and bumps their season record up to 5-9. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 6.5 runs over those games. As for Bishop Snyder, their defeat dropped their record down to 12-6.
