Baseball Recap: Neoga Find Success

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Casey-Westfield, Neoga was happy to have turned things around on Wednesday. They came out on top against the Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City Bobcats by a score of 4-1. The Indians haven't had any issues with the Bobcats recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.

Malik Coy spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered a run (which was unearned) on three hits and racked up eight Ks. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one walk in three consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Colin Blazich was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one home run and two RBI.

Neoga's win bumped their record up to 12-5. As for Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last eight contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-10 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Neoga is set to take on their familiar foe Dieterich at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City will face off against rival Altamont at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
