Softball Recap: Palmyra-Macedon Comes Up Short

Palmyra-Macedon fought the good fight in their extra-innings game against Aquinas Institute on Wednesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Little Irish by a score of 3-2. Having soared to a lofty 13 runs in the game before, the Red Raiders couldn't push the score so high this time.

Palmyra-Macedon saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kaedy Andross, who went 2-for-4 with one RBI.

Palmyra-Macedon has also been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 11-6 record this season. As for Aquinas Institute, their record is now 8-5.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Palmyra-Macedon will face off against Mynderse Academy at 5:15 p.m. on Thursday. The Blue Devils have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 6.93 runs per game on average), something the Red Raiders will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Aquinas Institute, they will venture away from home to square off against Brighton at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
