Volleyball Recap: Grantsville Comes Up Short

Grantsville lost against Union back in November of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Cowboys fell just short of the Cougars by a score of 3-2.

In a back-and-forth that saw neither team win consecutive sets, Grantsville sadly dropped the once that decided the match. The final score came out to 25-22, 21-25, 25-7, 21-25, 15-10.

When it comes to explaining why Grantsville lost, don't look at Avery Merrill. Despite the final result, she had 19 digs and three aces.

Grantsville's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Union, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Grantsville has already played their next matchup, a 3-0 win against Deseret Peak on the 14th. As for Union, they will head out to square off against Spanish Fork at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
