Basketball Recap: Marion H Comes Up Short

After flying high against Gilead Christian back in December of 2024, Marion H came back down to earth. The Marion H Hawks fell to Genoa Christian Academy 41-37. The loss was the Hawks' first of the season.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Genoa Christian Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Leah Kinley, who posted 15 points and six assists. Kinley's evening made it three games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Reagan Schuck, who put up seven points along with seven boards and three steals.

Having lost for the first time this season, Marion H fell to 3-1. As for Genoa Christian Academy, their record is now 10-5.

Marion H has already played their next game (against HEARTS for Jesus Christ), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Genoa Christian Academy will be playing at home against Northside Christian at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
