Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Seven Lakes). They breezed by the Paetow Panthers to the tune of 73-41 on Friday. This was a revenge game for the Spartans: when they faced off against the Panthers back in December of 2024, they had to take a 50-42 loss.

Seven Lakes got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Willtrace Ngoh out in front who went 5 of 7 en route to 11 points and five rebounds. Ngoh has been hot recently, having also posted two or more blocks the last three times she's played. Breona Kirtz was another key player, going 5 for 11 on her way to 13 points and six boards.

Seven Lakes smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 17 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive rebounds in 31 consecutive matches.

Seven Lakes is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 9-23 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 53.3 points per game. As for Paetow, they dropped their record down to 7-17 with the defeat, which was their eighth straight on the road.

Seven Lakes and Paetow could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings. Seven Lakes will face off against Tompkins at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday down 374 places (583 vs. 209). Similarly, Paetow (ranked 671st) will meet Katy (ranked 316th) at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
