Basketball Recap: Aspire Homeschool Extends Home Winning Streak to Seven

It may have taken overtime to finish the job, but Aspire HomeSchool ultimately got the result they hoped for on Thursday. They snuck past the Mingo Valley Christian Eagles with a 69-65 victory. Winning may never get old, but the Trailblazers sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

Mingo Valley Christian's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Hobs Lambert, who almost dropped a double-double on 17 points and nine boards. Those 17 points gave Lambert a new career-high. Matthew Clary was another key player, putting up 13 points along with eight rebounds and three steals.

Aspire HomeSchool's win was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 16-9. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 66.1 points over those games. As for Mingo Valley Christian, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 11-11.

Aspire HomeSchool didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 77-42 victory against Tulsa CHEF on the 8th. As for Mingo Valley Christian, they have also already played their next game, a 71-55 loss against Regent Prep on the 7th.
