Basketball Recap: Stewarts Creek Gets Big Win over Higher-Ranked Upperman

On Saturday, the Stewarts Creek Red Hawks earned a 73-66 win over the Upperman Bees. The victory was all the more spectacular given the Red Hawks' disadvantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee basketball rankings (they are ranked 115th, while the Bees are ranked 21st).

Stewarts Creek's win bumped their record up to 6-7. As for Upperman, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 9-2.

Stewarts Creek will take on Warren County at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Stewarts Creek's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last six games. As for Upperman, they will face off against Lenoir City at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Upperman is facing Lenoir City at the right time seeing as Lenoir City is stuck on a ten-game losing streak.
