Baseball Recap: Austin Packers vs. Red Wing Wingers
Austin was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a 5-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Red Wing Wingers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Wingers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 1-0 on Saturday.
Austin saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Noah Dunlap, who scored a run while going 1-for-3. Dylan Wencl also deserves some recognition as he got his first hit of the season.
Austin's loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Red Wing, they now have a winning record of 2-1.
We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Austin is set to take on their familiar foe Albert Lea at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Red Wing will face off against rival Northfield at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
