League recap: Lee breaks off league-leading run for Ellis

Sean Lee of Ellis ran for the longest rushing play in Mid-Continent this season against Norton last week. Lee scampered for 87 yards on the play and finished with 151 on the day as his team lost to the Bluejays.

Phillipsburg extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating Hoisington, 33-6. The win marks fifth in a row for the the Panthers.

Ellis' offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Lee threw for 29 and 1 touchdown and Eli Lohrmeyer had 33 yards receiving. On the ground Lee chipped in 151 yards.

Butch Hayes' team's dynamic duo of Lee and Lohrmeyer proved to be unstoppable against Norton, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week.

Leading the league in both passing and receiving yards, Phillipsburg's Riley Juenemann and Michael Dusin have proven to be a lethal combination. 5-9 quarterback Juenemann has thrown for 485 yards this season, while Dusin has 6 catches for 147 yards. The Railroaders' Landon Younger leads the league in rushing yards with 515.

Oakley took down Wichita County 66-0 last week, the largest margin of any game.
