Basketball Recap: Lebanon Homeschool Drops Highest Score of Season Against Aurora Christian Academy

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Lebanon HomeSchool). They came out on top against the Aurora Christian Academy Arrows by a score of 61-51 on Monday. For the Rockets, this counts as revenge for the 53-37 win the Arrows walked away with the last time they faced one another back in February of 2024.

Aurora Christian Academy's loss came despite strong showings from Sawyer Jones and Rowen Haynes. Jones dropped a double-double on 26 points and ten rebounds, while Haynes went 6 of 14 on his way to 17 points. The contest was Haynes' third in a row with at least ten points.

Lebanon HomeSchool's victory was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 2-4. As for Aurora Christian Academy, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 8-8.

Lebanon HomeSchool will head out to challenge Mid-Missouri HomeSchool at 7:30 p.m. on February 3rd. As for Aurora Christian Academy, they will host Riverview Bible Baptist Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Aurora Christian Academy is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 50.7 points per game this season.
