Coconino had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They blew past Peoria 13-2 on Wednesday. The win continues a trend for Coconino in their matchups with Peoria: they've now won three in a row.

Coconino got a massive performance out of Gavin Woodruff, who scored three runs while going 3-for-4. The dominant performance also gave Woodruff a new career-high in hits (three). Corbin Derr was another key player, scoring two runs while going 2-for-3.

Coconino always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .543. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Peoria only posted an OBP of .318.
