Softball Recap: Caravel Academy Picks Up Ninth Consecutive Win

Caravel Academy barely beat Caesar Rodney the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Buccaneers blew past the Riders 13-6 on Friday. The Buccaneers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four contests by seven runs or more this season.

The victory (which was Caravel Academy's ninth in a row) raised their record to 11-1. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 6.3 runs over those games. As for Caesar Rodney, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-9.

Looking ahead, Caravel Academy will venture away from home to challenge Cape Henlopen at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Caesar Rodney, they will host Lake Forest at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Spartans will roll in looking for their 15th straight victory, something the Riders surely won't give up without a fight.
