Softball Recap: Union County Comes Up Short

Union County blew Varsity Opponent out of the water the last time the pair played, but on Friday Varsity Opponent got their revenge. The Union County Patriots fell just short of Varsity Opponent by a score of 8-6. The Patriots were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced Varsity Opponent earlier this season, when they won 16-0.

Union County's defeat dropped their record down to 4-3.

Union County has already played their next game, a 16-8 victory against Deer Lakes on the 14th. As for Varsity Opponent, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 19-3 loss against Richfield on the 14th.
