Baseball Recap: St. David Finds Home Field Redemption Against Patagonia

There's no place like home for St. David, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They blew past the Patagonia Lobos 13-2 on Monday. The result was nothing new for the Tigers, who have now won four games by nine runs or more so far this season.

Emmitt Etter and Brody Stover did most of the damage at the plate: Etter scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-4, while Stover scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3. What's more, Etter posted three RBI, the most he's had since back in April of 2024. Cooper Merrill was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-4.

St. David was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .500. They are undefeated (3-0) when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

St. David's win bumped their record up to 5-6-1. As for Patagonia, their loss was their 12th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-8.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. St. David will venture away from home to face off against Duncan at 3:45 p.m. on Thursday. As for Patagonia, they will head out to challenge Ray at 3:45 p.m. on Thursday.
