Volleyball Game Preview: King Philip Regional Warriors vs. Bellingham Blackhawks

The King Philip Regional Warriors will square off against the Bellingham Blackhawks at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. King Philip Regional will be strutting in after a win while Bellingham will be coming in after a defeat.

On Tuesday, King Philip Regional made easy work of Sharon and carried off a 3-0 victory.

While King Philip Regional won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the second set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-11, 25-23, 25-17.

King Philip Regional had a senior duo take command as Cece Mullen had 22 assists and eight aces and Caleigh Shore had nine digs and six aces. Those six aces set a new season-high mark for Shore. Leah Hayes also deserves some recognition as she served her first ace of the season.

King Philip Regional was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 22 aces. That's the most aces they've posted since back in September.

Meanwhile, Bellingham unfortunately witnessed the end of their nine-match winning streak on Friday. They came up short against Winchester, falling 3-0.

The final score came out to 25-19, 25-20, 25-16.

King Philip Regional has been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 11 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-5 record this season. As for Bellingham, their loss dropped their record down to 12-2.
