Basketball Game Preview: Scott's Branch Eagles vs. Dillon Wildcats

The Scott's Branch Eagles will take on the Dillon Wildcats in a tournament on Saturday. Scott's Branch is coming into the matchup on a five-game losing streak.

Scott's Branch is headed into the game having just suffered their biggest defeat since February 13th on Thursday. They came up short against Crestwood, falling 57-36.

Meanwhile, Dillon beat Manning 51-38 on Friday. Given the Wildcats' advantage in MaxPreps' South Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 43rd, while the Monarchs are ranked 203rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Scott's Branch's loss dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Dillon, their record now sits at 8-2.

Things could have been worse for Scott's Branch, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 44-27 loss to Dillon in their previous meeting back in December of 2023. Can Scott's Branch avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
