Baseball Recap: Seffner Christian Drops Season-High Score on Bradenton Christian

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Seffner Christian). They were the clear victors by a 20-10 margin over the Bradenton Christian Panthers on Monday. The Crusaders haven't had any issues with the Panthers recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive win against them.

Seffner Christian got a great performance from Tyler Tate as he didn't allow a single earned run while striking out ten over 4.1 innings pitched. Tate has been consistent : he hasn't given up a single earned run in five consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Brayden Nanns was a standout: he went 2-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. Seffner Christian is undefeated when Nanns posts two or more runs, but 6-8 otherwise. Bryce Nanns also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

Seffner Christian hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Bradenton Christian struck out ten times.

Seffner Christian's record is now 11-8. As for Bradenton Christian, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-9 record this season.

Seffner Christian will head out to take on Tampa Prep at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Bradenton Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
