Soccer Recap: Rank Disadvantage No Problem for Lynn Vo-Tech

Lynn Vo-Tech kept a clean sheet against Innovation Academy on Saturday. They beat the Red Tailed Hawk by a goal, winning 1-0. The win was all the more spectacular given Lynn Vo-Tech's disadvantage in MaxPreps' Massachusetts soccer rankings (they are ranked 238th, while Innovation Academy are ranked 110th).

The victory made it two in a row for Lynn Vo-Tech and bumps their season record up to 3-5-2. Those wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up zero goals over those two matches. As for Innovation Academy, their defeat ended a five-match streak of wins at home and dropped them to 6-3.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lynn Vo-Tech will square off against Swampscott at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Innovation Academy, they will take on Mystic Valley Regional at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
