Basketball Recap: Chavez Victorious

Chavez lost to Delano on January 13th, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Tuesday. The Chavez Titans snuck past the Delano Tigers with a 43-37 win. That's two games straight that the Titans have won by exactly six points.

Despite the loss, Delano still got an impressive performance from Jotham Amodo, who posted 18 points and five rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of RG Garcia, who earned eight points and 15 boards.

Chavez is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a massive bump to their 10-13 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 51.8 points per game. As for Delano, they dropped their record down to 4-14 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road.

Chavez will head out to face off against Wasco at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Chavez is facing Wasco at the right time seeing as Wasco is stuck on an eight-game losing streak. As for Delano, they will welcome Shafter at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
