Riverside Academy typically has all the answers at home, but on Monday Madison Prep Academy proved too difficult a challenge. They never let the Rebels get on the board and left with a 16-0 victory. Considering Madison Prep Academy has won four games by more than 11 runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Kaila Bentley made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she struck out six batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit (and not a single walk). She has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than one walk in five consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI. That double was her first of the season.

In other batting news, Madison Prep Academy got a massive performance out of Tabrina Knighten, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, two stolen bases, and three runs. What's more, Knighten posted four RBI, the most she's had since back in April of 2025. The team also got some help courtesy of Denyah Corley, who got on base in all four of her plate appearances with two stolen bases, three runs, and one triple.

Madison Prep Academy always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .733. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

The win was the third in a row for Madison Prep Academy, bringing their record up to 5-8. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 14.0 runs over those games. As for Riverside Academy, their defeat ended a six-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 15-6.

Looking ahead, Madison Prep Academy will host Thibodaux at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Riverside Academy, they will square off against Belle Chasse at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
