College Station came tearing into Saturday's game with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 22 points) and they left with even more momentum. They walked away with a 57-50 win over the Ray Texans. The victory was all the more spectacular given the Cougars' disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 716th, while the Texans are ranked 224th).

College Station is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matches, which provided a nice bump to their 8-5 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.9 points per game. As for Ray, the defeat snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 13-6 record.

College Station wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 54-44 win against Dekaney on the 14th. As for Ray, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Gregory-Portland at 7:30 p.m. Gregory-Portland knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past 11 games -- so hopefully Ray likes a good challenge.
