Basketball Game Preview: Western Plains Bobcats vs. Weskan Coyotes

Western Plains is 1-6 against Weskan since January of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Western Plains Bobcats will venture away from home to face off against the Weskan Coyotes at 4:30 p.m. Western Plains has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.

Western Plains played in conference for the first time on Friday and they got just the result they we're looking for. In a tight match that could have gone either way, they made off with a 47-46 win over Northern Valley.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Weskan). They claimed a resounding 71-33 victory over Rolla. The contest was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point the Coyotes had established a 32 point advantage.

The win got Western Plains back to even at 6-6. As for Weskan, the victory got them back to even at 7-7.

Western Plains came up short against Weskan in their previous matchup back in December of 2024, falling 45-41. Can Western Plains avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
