Soccer Game Preview: Middle Park vs. Thomas MacLaren School

The Middle Park Panthers will face off against the Thomas MacLaren School Highlanders at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Middle Park will be looking to extend their current ten-game winning streak.

Middle Park's defense heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. Everything went their way against Arvada as they made off with a 10-0 win. Considering Middle Park have won 12 contests by more than two goals this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Their offense was hitting Arvada from everywhere, as eight different players booted in a goal. Marissa Mears led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for two goals all by herself.

Meanwhile, Thomas MacLaren School unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-game winning streak on Thursday. They and The Vanguard School finished up on equal footing with a 1-1 draw. The result kept Thomas MacLaren School happy, as they haven't lost a game since April 15th.

Middle Park's victory was their seventh straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 12-3. The road wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up one goal over those seven matchups. Thomas MacLaren School's draw gives them a new season record of 7-5-2.
