Volleyball Game Preview: Saul Razorbacks vs. Tacony Academy Charter Lions

After both having extra time off, the Saul Razorbacks and the Tacony Academy Charter Lions will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Saul barely beat Science Leadership Academy at Beeber the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Razorbacks blew past the Rockets 3-0 on Thursday. The win continues a trend for the Razorbacks in their matchups with the Rockets: they've now won three in a row.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Tacony Academy Charter, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Wednesday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Nueva Esperanza on Wednesday, sneaking past 3-2.

If you add up the scores from across all five sets (101-96) Tacony Academy Charter actually scored fewer points, but in the end it didn't matter. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 15-25, 25-20, 26-24, 15-25, 15-7.

Saul now has a winning record of 6-5. As for Tacony Academy Charter, the victory got them back to even at 5-5.

Saul skirted past Tacony Academy Charter 3-2 in their previous meeting back in October of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Razorbacks since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
